TWRA stocks catfish ahead of "Free Fishing Day" on Saturday

MORRISTOWN, TN (WLAF) - TWRA is stocking catfish at several locations, including Indian Mountain State Park at Jellico, across east Tennessee ahead of Free Fishing Day, which falls on Saturday, June 6 this year.  Although traditional TWRA sponsored fishing events are cancelled due to COVID-19, many locations will receive fish to promote quality fishing.

Here we flow again; a traffic pattern, flower beds-n-bridge update

TOP PHOTO:  The eastbound traffic pattern through Downtown La Follette shifted on Monday to allow room for construction crews to work on the south side flower beds of Central Avenue.
Flower beds on the north side of Central Avenue are taking shape.  On Monday, shrubs and trees were planted.
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) - On Friday, crews with Southern Constructors, Incorporated (SCI) poured the north side sidewalk of the Central Avenue Bridge as its refurbishment project marches toward completion.

COVID-19 active case count holds at one for Campbell County

NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF) - The number of COVD-19 cases in Campbell County remained at 17 for weeks with 16 of those patients having recovered.  However, in the Saturday report from the State Department of Health, one new COVID-19 case was reported in Campbell County.  Results through Monday from 1,451  COVID-19 tests in Campbell County have come back negative through Sunday. There has been one death reported from COVID-19 in Campbell County.

Morton's office Friday afternoon concerning upcoming meetings.  A typo on the Agenda section for the Buildings and Grounds Committee is corrected on the calendar below.  The original  meeting has the correct date attached but the wrong day.  The correct day is this THURSDAY June 4th, 2020., at 5:00pm.
