LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A homeowner noticed an item missing from his basement on June 14 and called the sheriff.  When Campbell County Sergeant Nathaniel Bostic arrived at the home, the victim told him he came back to his residence and noticed his Honda generator missing.  The victim continued that he had checked his security camera and saw two men identified as Oakley Derant Collins and Denny Joe Kinworthy, who had been working for him, load the generator into Kinworthy’s truck.

When Bostic contacted the two men and asked about the missing generator, Collins allegedly said he was just going to borrow it and bring it back. When they were asked if they had permission to borrow the generator, they both said no, according to a report from the Sheriff’s Department.

Oakley Derant Collins, 64, 1075 Alder Springs Road, LaFollette is charged with theft of property under $999.99.
