NASHVILLE, TN (WLAF) – State Representative Dennis Powers shares the updates he is receiving surrounding the Capitol and the Cordell Hill Building.

Here are the last two statements I got from Nashville, so it is now official: My office building, the Cordell Hull Building and the Capitol is closed to visitors through March 31.  We had a Chamber Leadership Group coming down this week, so that has been postponed to a later date to be determined.  This is a fluid situation and I will keep you updated as we get new information.
Thanks!
Good afternoon Rep. Powers:
The statement from the Speakers is that the Legislature is encouraging groups who have planned non-essential events and activities in and around the Cordell Hull and the Capitol to consider rescheduling or postponing.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
A few hours later, I got this:
Tennessee State Capitol Closed to Visitors
The Tennessee State Capitol is closed to tours and visitors through March 31 , 2020.
