KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF) – Motorists traveling on I-75 in Campbell County should be alert for bridge repairs that will have an impact on travel over the next few weeks.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 16, I-75 will be reduced to one lane in each direction near MM 160 in Jellico, approximately one mile from the TN/KY state line. This traffic pattern will be in place 24/7.  Phase 1 of this bridge repair project is scheduled to be complete on or before Saturday, April 25.

Delays are likely during these construction activities.  Motorists should use extreme caution through this area as workers will be present.

In 2016, the Tennessee Department of Transportation lost three workers in the line of duty. All three were struck by passing motorists.

Those tragedies bring the total number of TDOT lives lost to 112. We don’t want to lose another member of our TDOT family. We’re asking you to WORK WITH US.
