JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Kurt Owens has been there for the youth of our community, and his friends and family are asking you to be there for Kurt as he battles liver cancer.  The hardworking husband and father of two was recently diagnosed with the disease and is making weekly trips to Nashville for treatment.

To help off set expenses, a benefit fishing tournament is scheduled in Owens honor to help him and his family.  The tourney is this weekend, Sat. Mar. 14, at the White Bridge.  There’s also still time to become a sponsor.  Jack Faulkner has details on how you can be a part of the event at 423.494.8093.
