LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Merchants in the area from the end of West Beech Street to the La Follette Medical Center will soon be receiving a letter of options where the Day Center is concerned.  On Tuesday afternoon, La Follette City Administator Jimmy Jeffries drafted the letter at the request of those who attended Monday afternoon’s community meeting.

For those who have a business that may not be in this exact area but within the city limits, a copy of the letter is HERE for your convenience.  Jeffries said, “Those merchants outside the distribution area in the city limits can call city hall at 423.562.4961 with their suggestions, options, ideas or concerns.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 03/11/2020-6AM)

  1. I would like to begin with saying that we have a city councilwoman that seems to misunderstand her role as a representative. I would think to support the business owners first and foremost. Those that have supported this community long before this group. Bullying should not be tolerated. And this group is attempting to intimidate the businesses.
