This week’s Good Samaritan series has taken on a very solemn subject, one that should be discussed more often .

Suicide prevention, intervention and post-vention.                                                                               Sarah Walsh with the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN), whom serves multiple counties including Campbell County as the East Tennessee Regional Director, is on a mission focused on those three facets. Her job is not an easy one as she also works to connect those that are survivors of suicide loss, often volunteering her time with community initiatives.

She fights for the lives of many loved ones that are struggling and often suffer from the stigma attached to suicide often preventing people from seeking much needed help. We truly commend the work Sarah does and for her willingness to face such an impactful topic within the communities she serves, and for this reason we truly believe she is a Good Samaritan.                                                         For the full story tune in on Saturday 9:30am on WLAF TV-12 and web channel 1450wlaf.com or radio 1450am/100.9fm at 10:30am.
