OAK RIDGE, TN (WLAF) – Opening round games are set for the Campbell County Cougars and Lady Cougars in next week’s District 3-AAA Basketball Tournament to be played on Prudden Court.

The 8th seeded Cougars face Number 5 Seed Powell.  Tip time is at 7:30 pm on Tuesday.

The Lady Cougars enter the tourney as the 3rd seed.  Their first game is set for Wednesday at 7:30 pm.  CCHS will face the winner of Monday’s Halls-Karns match-up.  Halls is the 6th seed and Karns the 7th.

The Cougars must win two games to qualify for the region tourney while the Lady Cougars have to win one game to get to the region.  The Lady Cougars have advanced to the region the last four seasons in a row.  The Cougars have not qualified for the region since 2012.
