LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – This week’s Good Samaritan is Nancy Green (above), the director of the La Follette Public Library.    Being the middle sibling of eight sisters and one brother, Green has always seen herself as a helper with an easy going and calm demeanor; able to mediate, delegate, and organize better than most. This has given her the desire to help others and has allowed her to dedicate her abilities toward the community.

“See a need, fill a need” is how she tackles the many ventures in her very busy life which also include being the sitting president of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce, as well as president elect of the Campbell County Rotary Club. In addition, Green is the former president of the Campbell County Historical Society and currently vice president in charge of programming.

Green’s enthusiasm for improvement and outreach have left a lasting impact on Campbell County for decades, and likely will for decades to come. Her enthusiasm, drive, and willingness to reach out to Campbell County and offer such useful services makes Green a true Good Samaritan.
