JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Declining school attendance numbers due to illness have prompted Campbell County Director of Schools Jennifer Fields to call off classes Wed. (Jan. 29), Thu. (Jan. 30) and Fri. (Jan 31).

Director Fields tells WLAF, “Attendance numbers were stable last week.  However, those numbers have declined significantly this week.”  Fields goes on to say that several students, teachers and staff are out with flu, strep or stomach ailment.  Custodians will work on Wednesday to disinfect the buildings.

The days the school system will be closed are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Jan. 29-31, 2020.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 01/28/2020-1PM)
