Lady Cougar Lilli Slover readies to score on Tuesday night at Brown Gym.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Karns came to town on Tuesday night and left with a win and a loss.  Cougar fans saw the Lady Cougars blitz Karns 61 to 24 while Karns pulled away late to nip the Cougars 67 to 60 at John R.W. Brown Gymnasium. Emily Ellison led the way with 14 points while Cora Browning, all free throws, and Madison Brady tallied eight points each followed by six a piece from Megan Asher and Alyssa Brown.  Macy Monday added five as Kiley Davis tallied four and so did Bailey Gillum.  Two points each came from Erica Brock, Kayleigh Jordan and Lilli Slover.  Eleven Lady Cougars played and all scored.

The Lady Cougars improve to  8 & 8 and 2 & 2 in the district.  Karns is 1 & 12 in all games and win-less through four district contests.

The Cougars were led by Spencer Boshears with 23 points including four makes from beyond the arc.  Nate Walden and Jake Lane put up double-figures with 14 and 12 points respectively.  Devon Jones and John Long recorded four points each as John Allen Arnold posted two while Seth Ward had one.  All seven Cougars that played scored.

The Cougars now have a mark of 7 & 12 with an 0 & 4 district record.  For Karns, the Beavers are 5 & 11 and are even in the district at 2 & 2.
