Margaret Miller was able to avoid serious injury when her car hit the back of this building.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – An elderly La Follette woman escaped serious injury this morning when her car ended up in a very odd spot; down an embankment, over a retaining wall and up against a building.

“I hit the gas when I was meaning to push the brake, and then I couldn’t get my foot back on the brake in time,” said Margaret Miller.  She added, “I’ll be 83 in February.”

The call of the freak accident came in a little before noon on Thursday morning.

Miler, above, was able to walk away from the accident with help from her walker.

Miller was in the process of turning around on Nevada Avenue when her car got away from her.  She hit a couple of trees as her car went down the embankment hitting the north side of Ellison Supply’s Warehouse.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/26/2019-1PM)
