LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Two men were trapped in their respective vehicles in a head-on crash in front of La Follette Middle School just before daybreak on Christmas Eve morning.

Around 7:25 am, a La Follette-bound pick-up truck was traveling in the right lane when it collided with a small SUV heading in the opposite direction in the same lane.  The accident happened where Foothills Drive meets East Central Avenue.

A lone male driver in each vehicle was trapped and had to be cut out by crews from the La Follette Fire Department.  The driver of the small SUV appeared to be suffering from serious injuries while the driver of the pick up stood up and was loaded onto a stretcher.

La Follette Police Officers directed traffic around the accident scene through the LMS and post office parking lots.  The men were transported to the La Follette Medical Center by the Campbell County Ambulance Service.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/24/2019-7:45AM)
