Grilling out, Santa, live Nativity scene on Friday in DT La Follette

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) –Santa will be roaming around downtown La Follette Friday.  Smith Hardware plans to grill out. and there will be a live Nativity scene as La Follette Church of God Pastor Michael Dent shares the Christmas Story.  A choir will sing, and there will be street musicians performing as well.   Oh, and the City will be giving out free popcorn, and Common Ground Coffee Shop will have all its drinks 20% off between 4-7 p.m.  Merchants also have lots and lots of specials lined up just for you. La Follette’s Downtown Country Christmas is having its biggest Friday yet.  There’ll be many, many sales offered by the downtown merchants this Fri., Dec. 20. Plus, there will be give-a-ways. Businesses begin giving out tickets for chances to win prizes on Friday at 4 pm.

City officials will be coming around to the businesses between 6:30 pm-6:45 pm today to pick up their tickets to be entered in the Grand Prize Drawing.  If any participating businesses are going to close before that time, the City requests that you please drop off your tickets at City Hall.

The drawing for the Grand Prize takes place Friday night at 7 pm at Common Ground Coffee Shop.
