Frank Bailey (left) and his brother Eddie (right) are asking for you to send a Christmas card to their other brother, Dennis.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Friday afternoon, the Bailey brothers stopped by WLAF with a simple request.  They wanted to get the word out for folks to send their brother Dennis a Christmas card. The 89-year- old Dennis Bailey, who grew up in the Bethlehem community, served two different tours in the Korean War.  These days, he resides at the Ohio Veterans Home near Cincinnati.  Brother Frank, 91, and 79-year-old Eddie Bailey asked Dennis what they could get him for Christmas, and he said all he wanted was some Christmas cards.

Frank himself was a career military man serving in both the Army and the Air Force.  Frank said, “Our late brother Joe and Dennis served in the Korean War.  Their paths crossed several times over there.”

“We’d love for him to get lots of cards.  Last year, he received more than 100,” said Eddie.  The brothers are hoping he’ll get a couple of hundred this Christmas.

Dennis’s mailing address is:  Dennis Bailey c/o Ohio Veterans Home, 2003 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown, Ohio, 45121.  “Room 111 needs to go in the bottom left of the envelope,” said Eddie.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/16/2019-6AM)

  1. I jus shared to Facebook, I plan on sending a card, I sure hope he receives more than 200. I wonder if there are any more lonely veterans that would like a card as well? I think I might send a couple extra for staff to pass out to veterans that might not have any…
