LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Save the dates of Dec. 7 or 8 and get the kids ready for a special treat just for them. “Mac and the Musical Cats” is coming to the stage at Postmark LaFollette, 119 S. Tennessee Avenue.

Postmark LaFollette is partnering with GiGi’s Dance Studio to bring a short story to the community about a young boy who visits LaFollette during WWII and stays at the Russell Hotel.  While peering out the window, he sees a line of cats coming down the ally, some with instruments on their back; they end up in the old post office.  His curiosity gets the best of him and he follows the cats, that no one else seems to see.  The story tells of how the musical cats inspired him throughout his life.

The Fri., Dec. 7 performance begins at 4 pm.   The Christmas Parade starts at 6 pm that evening making for a fun day for youth. The 4 pm performance will give attendees plenty of time to come down, see the play and enough time to get a great spot to see the Christmas Parade.  The Sat., Dec. 8 performance starts at 2 pm.

Tickets are $3 each or two for $5.  Tickets are available at Community Trust Bank and United Cumberland Bank.  Seating is limited.

An illustrated book, in poem form of “Mac and the Musical Cats” is available with a donation of $10 to Postmark LaFollette, a 501c3 nonprofit. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/03/2019-6AM)
