JELLICO, TN.  (WLAF)- On Nov. 25 Campbell County Deputy John Minor went to a home on Oswego Road, Jellico, about possible domestic violence. When he arrived, Minor spoke with the victim outside the home who said Crystal Gail Douglas was allegedly inside smashing items with a baseball bat.

When Minor entered the home, Douglas went out the backdoor and through some woods to the railroad tracks, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. Minor pursued Douglas for several hundred yards on foot.

Douglas was taken into custody in a clearing across a field near Creekmore Housley Drive. While being placed under arrest, Douglas allegedly told Minor she had been on Meth for three days. During the walk back to the patrol car, Douglas claimed she had cuts on her hands from punching out the windows inside the home. When she was put inside the patrol car, she began hitting her heard on the car window, but stopped when Minor said he would spray her is she continued.

Douglas, 38, 152 Oswego Road, Jellico, is charged with aggravated assault by domestic violence and resist stop frisk halt search.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 12/2/2019 6AM)
