It was a fun day of learning during Natural Gas Day.

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Powell Clinch Utility District (PCUD) employees enjoyed hosting Natural Gas Day with the fourth and fifth graders at Jacksboro Elementary School on October 3rd.  See more photos HERE. Activities included class time with PCUD’s own Energy Man (above) learning about natural gas safety and why you should always call 811 before you dig. Then the children toured equipment and learned how to locate a gas line and detect natural gas. This was also an opportunity for the students to receive hands on experience while working with employees in the natural gas industry.

It was all hands on deck for PCUD employees at Natural Gas Day at Jacksboro Elementary School.

PCUD President Rob Neil shared: “I was honored State Representative Dennis Powers and Campbell County Mayor E. L. Morton joined us on such a special day.” Neil also thanked Principal Steven Sampieri and the staff of Jacksboro Elementary School for the warm welcome. PCUD plans to visit more schools in the future to educate and share growing careers in the natural gas industry.

PCUD is a natural gas company headquartered in Rocky Top, Tennessee serving 16,000 natural gas customers in Anderson and Campbell Counties.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/15/2019-6AM)
