JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – They love her footwork.  They, the women’s basketball coaches at Tennessee Tech University, also love the fact the Madison Brady plays with a lot of heart.  Brady loves TTU, because it feels like home and she loves the players and coaches.  So it’s easy to understand why Number 43 for the Campbell County Lady Cougars said no to 50 other schools representing conferences ranging from The Big 10 to the SEC to the Big East and said yes to Tech of the Ohio Valley Conference. On Wednesday, the outstanding 6-3 post player put the pen to the paper and signed with Tennessee Tech a few months after she made up her mind at her official visit back in the summer.  What sealed the deal is one of her best friends, Jada Guinn of Oak Ridge, will also be wearing the purple and gold and one of the first coaches to begin the recruiting process, Crystal Kelly, is now on the staff at Tech.

Off the court, Brady will focus on becoming a dental hygienist.  CCHS Coach Brad Honeycutt said, “She’s going to be successful, and I can’t wait to see.”

Coach ‘Cutt pointed out that all the hours of practice and the support of her folks in the stands came together this morning.  “She’s worked her tail off, but we need her one more season, and Tech needs her, too,” said the 6th year head coach.

Starting with summer school, Brady will make the short ride to begin her full ride as a TTU Lady Golden Eagle.  Cookeville is only a hundred miles west on I-40 which is lose enough for her friends and family to drive over to see her feet and heart in action.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 11/14/2019 – 6AM)
