CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is a non-profit organization serving Campbell County that recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in Juvenile Court. The successful candidate will be thoroughly committed to the CASA mission and able to demonstrate proven leadership skills through a successful track record in program management and resource development. The Executive Director is ultimately responsible for the overall management of CASA of Campbell County. This is primarily accomplished by the implementation of our action plan and involves the coordination, recruitment, training and supervision of CASA volunteers and staff in order to provide the highest quality advocacy to abused children in the Juvenile Court system in the county. The Executive Director must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to multi-task and prioritize the wide variety of demands presented regularly. The role of Executive Director also requires the highest level of community involvement while managing multiple cases, volunteers and situations that demand attention to various needs. Qualities of the ideal candidate include: experience in managing staff, volunteers, and consultants while self-directing, prioritizing competing goals and initiating process improvements. Requires demonstrated success in resource development and revenue generation through grant writing and event planning for fund-raising. Requires strong fiscal management experience, budget oversight and management of multiple funding sources through computerized accounting, preferably in QuickBooks. Experience in community engagement strategies to include conducting outreach, maintaining community awareness and speaking publicly in order to promote CASA services. Experience and/or knowledge of juvenile court, Department of Children’s Services and foster care systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience in social media, newsletters, and website management. A Bachelor’s degree with 5 or more years of experience in a management role at a non-profit environment. The Executive Director is hired by and accountable to the Executive Board of CASA of Campbell County, Tennessee. The Executive Director reports directly to the Executive Board who is responsible for the director’s performance evaluations.
