PIONEER, TN (WLAF) -ATV Clubs, Hunting Clubs, riders, hikers or anyone who enjoys the beautiful mountain trails of Royal Blue are encouraged to volunteer on Saturday for a trails clean up.   Campbell County Litter Control Officer Glennis Monday and Keisha Howard, Campbell County Litter Control Coordinator, welcome everyone to the Ride Royal Blue General Store on Saturday at 9 am.  Ride Royal Blue and Campbell County Litter Control are hosting the clean up of the Royal Blue Trail System and provide all the necessary tools for the event.

Monday dropped off a flyer at WLAF promoting tomorrow’s event.

Monday said, “We’ll team up to rid the trails of litter, junk materials and old tires.”  Litter bags, gloves, pick up tools and maps of the trail system will be provided, and there will be trucks onsite to haul off the litter.

“It’ll be a fun day.  We’ll provide lunch after the clean up and award prizes,” said Monday.  Prizes for volunteers who made the longest drive, collected the most bags of trash and found the most unusual item will be awarded.

Anyone who would like to volunteer for the 9 am until 2 pm event is encouraged to come on out to Ride Royal Blue at 6307 Stinking Creek Road.  “For students needing Tennessee Promise Hours, this is a great and fun way to earn those hours,” Monday noted.  For more information call 423.562.2526 or 423.784.9445.
