JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Organizers with “Shop with a Cop” are excited about today’s fund raiser golf tournament.  All the fun begins with lunch at noon at the The Greens at Deerfield.     Jacksboro Police Sgt. Det. Cody Chapman said that the four-ball scramble opens with a shotgun start at 1 pm this afternoon, and he’s expecting close to 20 teams to take part.

There will be awards for the first through third place team finishes along with the longest drive and closest to the pin.

Proceeds from today’s tourney go toward bringing Christmas to town for lots of little ones.  Christmas cheer was spread to nearly 400 Campbell County children over two evenings last December thanks to “Shop with a Cop.”

The annual shopping extravaganza celebrates its 22nd year in 2019.  “Shop with a Cop” provides Christmas presents to elementary school children. Along with shopping, the children are treated to dinner, a visit with Santa Claus and their own area hero to help them shop.

More than 100 sponsors pitched in to provide Christmas for area children last year.  If you would like to support “Shop with a Cop,” contact Chapman at ccso712@gmail.com. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED 10/16/2019-6AM)
