LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Heat dominates as October opens. Raindrops are at a premium again this week though there are very limited chances of rain. A hard downpour of rain fell on North 5th Street Monday afternoon outside the WLAF studio (in photo above). But it was short lived.Hot and mostly dry weather is expected to continue through the end of the week here in Campbell County and across the region. Temperatures will continue to reach the upper 80s to mid-90s through Thursday, with slightly cooler conditions expected on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And though some isolated showers and thunderstorms may be seen primarily over the mountainous areas this afternoon, dry conditions will be the norm for most areas the remainder of this week.
Highs of 78 on Friday, 81 on Saturday and then 80 on Sunday are expected. Humidity will be much lower leaving those days with a pleasant feel. There are slight chances of rain and storms on Sunday. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 10/01/2019-6AM)
