JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Campbell County’s next football game is Friday night at Karns.  Even though it’s an away game, Cougar Coach Chris Honeycutt was out before practice on Wednesday afternoon touching up the on field ribbon honoring Jack Price.

“If I don’t keep it painted, it’ll fade so much that we’ll have to bring out the stencil and start all over,”   Honeycutt said. The Cougars are three weeks between home games during this stretch of the schedule.

Price is the son of Cougar Head Coach Justin Price.  Jack, less than a year old, is battling cancer.

Honeycutt is one of the few Cougars ever to have excelled four years at Campbell High and then excel at the collegiate level.  Honeycutt, Number 16 in the day, starred as a Patriot at the University of the Cumberlands at Williamsburg, Ky.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/26/2019-6AM)
