LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – The Tennessee Department of Veterans Services Commissioner Courtney Rogers (PHOTO ABOVE) and Deputy Commissioner Tilman Goins visited Campbell County last week visiting with area veterans.

While Rogers and Goins met with the group at the Roane State Community College Campus, they discussed rural health care options for veterans.

“I was honored to have the Tennessee Commissioner of Veteran Affairs Courtney Rogers, visit Campbell County on Thursday and Friday.  She was joined by Deputy Commissioner Tilman Goins. Rogers served 15 years of active duty in the Air Force and 14 years in the reserves and retired as a colonel. Goins served in both the Army and Marines,” said Dennis Powers, 36th district state rep. “I wanted them to see our county and the progress we had made with the clinic and answer some questions and  address concerns of our great veterans. Kevin Walden has done an excellent job with our county veterans who have served our country so well.” (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/03/2019-6AM)
