Roy Alvin Blackwell, Sr., age 81 of Jacksboro went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 1, 2019.  He was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.  He was a mechanic by trade and loved his job.  Roy retired from Campbell County Road Department.

He is preceded in death by first wife Clara Blackwell, parents Earl and Arlena (Ramsey) Blackwell, granddaughter Martina Rose Blackwell, brother Louie Blackwell, sisters Mabel Gibson and Marie Ijames.

He is survived by wife Minnie (Packett) Queener of Jacksboro, sons Eddie Blackwell & wife Sandra of Jacksboro, Joe Blackwell of Jacksboro, Roy Blackwell Jr. & wife Judy of Caryville, Marty Blackwell & wife Tabitha of Clinton, Clarence Blackwell & wife Shannon of Jacksboro, Mike Queener & wife Sharon of Rocky Top, Scott Queener & wife Cheryl of Clinton, brothers Bill Blackwell & wife Rosa Lee of Jacksboro, Robert Blackwell & wife Florence of Jacksboro, Joe Blackwell & wife Edna of Jacksboro, sisters Ruby Bratcher & husband Jerry of Jacksboro, Mary Boshears of Jacksboro, 24 grandchildren, 17great  grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, September 5, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. David Walker, Rev. C.H. Baird, and Rev. Johnny Owens officiating.  Friends and family will meet 10:15 AM Friday, September 6, 2019 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 11 AM interment.
