Each county is tasked with a Leadership Aspect and a theme. The Campbell County Leadership Aspect was ‘humble leader’ and the theme was government.  Everything on this day revolved around this aspect and theme.  Campbell County Day was July 24 and the class met at Shoney’s at Caryville for a breakfast and a speech on the qualities of a humble leader.  The group then traveled on a rented tour bus.  The first stop was the courthouse to hear County Mayor E.L. Morton speak on local government.  The group later enjoyed a catered lunch at the Ball Farm Event Center and listened to a speaker during lunch.  After lunch, the group stopped in LaFollette to hear about city government and then on to Jellico.  Other speakers on government and leadership concluded the day.

At Shoney’s, Caryville Mayor Bobby Stooksbury (standing) addressed ETRLA.

LaFollette Mayor Mike Stanfield (blue shirt) shared thoughts with the group at the LaFollette House.
