LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) -La Follette Police Officers responded to the call of a disturbance in the emergency room (ER) at the La Follette Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon.   “A man who was undergoing a mental evaluation became combative and punched a wall,” LPD Captain Steven Wallen said.
“Officers were forced to tase and pepper spray 46-year- old Danny Hunley to bring him under control,” Wallen said.  It took five officers to arrest Hunley who stands over six-feet tall and weighs more than 400-pounds, according to the captain.

Jail records detail that Hunley, from La Follette, is charged with assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, failure to appear and resisting arrest.  He remains housed this morning in the Campbell County Jail and will likely be arraigned later today.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/31/2019-6AM-FILE PHOTO FROM 2011 IS COURTESY OF THE CAMPBELL COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT)
