JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – During its recent annual business meeting, the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference named 8th Judicial District Attorney General Jared Effler (TOP PHOTO) chairman of its Victims/Witness Steering Committee.  This committee is comprised of District Attorneys General and victim witness coordinators from across the state and is charged with improving services to crime victims and witnesses, along with overseeing training certification for victim witness coordinators from Tennessee’s 31 judicial districts.

Effler stated, ” It is a high honor to have  been chosen by my colleagues to chair this important committee.  I look forward to working with this committee and the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference to improve services offered to crime victims and to ensure that crime victims are never a forgotten part of our criminal justice system.”  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/16/2019-10AM)
