LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – Two serious accidents occurred in less than an hour on the south and north sides of La Follette.     At 3 pm is when the report of a motorcycle and a car wreck on Demory Road came in.  The other happened about 45-minutes later on Highway 25W north of La Follette.

The Demory Road accident sent the man on the motorcycle to a Knoxville hospital via a med chopper.  The wreck happened between the Cedar Hill Baptist Church and the College Hill Convenience Center.

The Highway 25W head-on collision took place right at 3:45 pm about four, maybe five, miles north of La Follette.  First word coming in to the E-911 Dispatch Center was that the wreck happened in what was described as a “bad curve.”

UPDATE:  Officers said that there was no accident on Highway 25W.  They added that there was nothing to it.   (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 07/15/2019-4:15PM – UPDATE 5:45PM)
