Strong to severe storm potential looms today – mainly after lunch

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF) – A cold front will move through the Tennessee Valley today triggering another round of showers and thunderstorms.     The rough weather can be expected mainly this afternoon into early evening. Some of these storms may be severe, with damaging winds the primary threat. Large hail will also be possible, and localized heavy rainfall may lead to

ponding of water in poor drainage areas.

Our Monday features a very muggy feel with a high of 85 under partly sunny skies.  Monday night’s low dips to 67-degrees as rain and storm chances diminish after sunset.

Most of the work week will remain dry with near normal temperatures, with only a few mainly isolated showers and thunderstorms around parts of the area each day. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 06/24/2019-6AM)
