STINKING CREEK, TN  (WLAF) – “We still hope that maybe he just left,” said Belinda Powell of her brother Adam Baird (top photo).  K-9s, a chopper and countless personnel on foot and in UTVs scoured select areas of Campbell County on April 10 in search of the 33-year old Baird.     Other searches, not as intense, took place before the April 10 effort and after.  The Campbell Countian was last seen on March 31, 2019.

His sister said, “I know he wouldn’t go like this and not talk or see his kids. He loved them so much.”

Powell thinks Baird was hurt badly.  She said, “Who would do this is very cruel.  They took him from his three babies; a daughter and two sons.  We just want to find him and have closure.”

“We are continuing to investigate this case, and are actively following leads,” said Campbell County Chief Deputy Jeremy Goins. He asks anyone with any information on this case to call 423.562.8095 or 911.  “Our criminal investigation division will follow up and investigate any and all information that is given,” the chief said.

Baird is 5’ 7”, weighs 157 pounds and has black hair and hazel eyes.  Baird’s vehicle was located on Big Four Road the week he was last seen.  Big Four Road runs from York Hollow, off Stinking Creek Road, to Sand Gap.  A source close to Baird told WLAF that Baird knows the area like the back of his hand.

Powell adds, “We love him, and we need answers. He is missed by his children, parents, brothers and sister not to mention all his friends.”

“He was a great dad,” said Powell.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/31/2019-6AM)
