MOSSY CREEK, TN.  (WLAF) – A much anticipated practice-scrimmage session and special venue did not disappoint.  The Campbell County Cougar football team traveled to Jefferson City on Tuesday afternoon to work and work it did.     Head Coach Justin Price called it a good session with Gatlinburg Pittman saying “We were able to get work in many different ways against a quality opponent as many players did some good things.”

The Cougars and Highlanders met up on the home field of the Carson-Newman Eagles at Burke-Tarr Stadium.  Price said his team was able to experience some situational football like red zone and third downs that he feels will pay dividends in the fall.

Price said, “I’m really proud of our team!”

CCHS will have a day between the Pittman practice-scrimmage and its annual intra-squad spring game.  The Orange and Blue game is Thursday at 1:30 pm on Pat Kerr Field.
