Late this morning, a La Follette man was airlifted after his SUV rammed a house on Pleasant Ridge Road.  Just after 2:30 pm Friday afternoon, a man, believed to be from the Davis Creek area, was airlifted from the White Oak Fire Department’s Landing Zone in north Campbell County.     White Oak Fire Chief Jimmy Pack  said, “The injured man was driving a Dodge pick-up truck that appeared to have just slid down an embankment more than 100-feet off Davis Creek Road.”  It happened on the La Follette side of Woodson Gap Baptist Church.

The injured man was transported by ground about four miles from the wreck scene to the White Oak Landing Zone

Members of the Jellico Rescue Squad and Campbell County EMS joined the White Oak Fire Department at the scene.  La Follette Fire Department responded with its crash truck, but the chief said the man ended up not being trapped.  He added that it was also good that the truck did not turn over.

The mid-30s age man is thought to have been seriously injured in the wreck that happened at 1:47 pm today.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 05/03/2019-2:45PM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WOFD CHIEF JIMMY PACK)
