Timothy “Bodie” Vaughn Underwood, age 54 of LaFollette departed this life Thursday, April 4, 2019.   He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle that enjoyed spending time with his family.  Bodie also enjoyed spending time in the mountains, hunting and fishing, and working in Deerfield with people he considered to be his extended family.

He is preceded in death by wife Darlene (Gibson) Underwood; parents Charles and Hazel (Turner) Underwood.

He is survived by son David Allen Elkins & fiancé Tina Monday of LaFollette; step children that he considered his children Melissa Elkins Babb, Chuck Dewayne Elkins, Allen McGlone, and Tyler Elkins; special nephew Charlie Cooper, nieces Sandy Bowman, Sarah Cooper, Tiffany Crutchfield, and Cassie Russell; sisters Marilyn Bowman & husband Sam of LaFollette, Katherine Cooper & husband Roger of Jacksboro, Connie Crutchfield & husband Steve of LaFollette; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives.

Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM Saturday, April 6, 2019 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 1 PM with Rev. Ron Williams officiating.  Following funeral service, friends and family will go in procession to Stokes cemetery for interment.
