After further record checking, WLAF  has learned that former Lady Owl Kristin Chapman’s high jump record of five-feet, four-inches still remains at the top of the La Follette Middle School record book.

The former Owl, Cougar and ETSU Buccaneer’s LMS record was set on April 17, 2008, at the Heritage Meet at Blount County where ten schools competed including Alcoa, CAK and Maryville.

WLAF reported Wednesday that Chapman’s record was broken earlier this week.  It was not.  WLAF apologizes for the error.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 04/04/2019-6AM)
