The following cases were resolved last week in criminal court with plea agreements:

  • Roberto Lagunes- three counts of statutory rape by authority figure, three counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, two counts of incest; 10 years to serve in prison
  • Gary Weldon- perjury; two years supervised probation
  • Chase Alexander McDaniels- DUI, possession of a schedule VI controlled substance; two days to serve with credit for time served, two years supervised probation, attend MADD Impact Panel, loss of driver’s license for one year, attend alcohol and drug assessment following any recommendation, submit to periodic drug screens, $3,350 fine
  • Theresa Lynn Rosenkranz- first offense DUI; two days to serve with credit for time served, 11 months, 29 days probation, attend MADD Impact Panel, loss of driver’s license for one year, attend alcohol and drug assessment following any recommendation, submit to periodic drug screens, $350 fine
  • William C. Perry- possession of a (Meth) schedule II controlled substance over .5 grams with intent to deliver; 91 days to serve with credit for time served, 10 years supervised probation, $2,000 fine, $500 contribution to THP Drug Fund
  • Amanda Suzanne Albright- possession of a (Meth) schedule II controlled substance over .5 grams with intent to sell; sentencing set for April 8
  • Jeff Lonas Courtney- aggravated domestic assault, filing a false report; 64 days to serve with credit for time served, five years supervised probation, court costs and a $500 victim assessment fee
  • Christopher Dewayne Lay- auto burglary, four counts of fraudulent use of a debit card under $1,000, assault; 60 days to serve with credit for time served, two years supervised probation, no contact with the victims, court costs, $159.34 restitution
  • Tiffany Marie Sanders- fourth offense DUI, sixth offense driving on a revoked license, reckless endangerment, open container law; 150 days to serve with credit for time served, two years supervise probation, attend MADD Impact Panel, loss of driver’s license for eight years, attend alcohol and drug assessment following any recommendation, submit to periodic drug screens, $3,000 fine
  • Daryl Roland Overbay- possession of a (heroin) schedule I controlled substance with intent to deliver or sell, – possession of a (Meth) schedule II controlled substance over .5 grams with intent to sell or deliver, theft over $1,000, theft of services under $1,000, 12 years to serve in prison, $9,000 restitution, $150 fine
  • Ronald Odell Bowling, II- unlawful possession of a weapon; two years to serve in prison
  • Michelle Ann Leopard – unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, theft under $1,000; six years to serve in prison, no contact with the victim
  • Kevin Lynn Chumley- felony evading arrest, third offense DUI, driving on revoked license prior to DUI; 120 days to serve with credit for time served, two years supervised probation, attend MADD Impact Panel, loss of driver’s license for six years, attend alcohol and drug assessment following any recommendation, submit to periodic drug screens, $1,100 fine, court costs
  • Neil Steven Littleton- possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, resisting arrest; 60 days to serve with credit for time served, two years supervised probation, court costs
  • Cleda R McGhee Murray- violation of the HMVO, evading arrest; 20 days to serve with credit for time served, two years community corrections, court costs
  • Shelia Faye Rogers- possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to sell; possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a schedule III controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of a schedule III controlled substance with intent to deliver, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia; 30 days to serve with credit for time served, three years supervised probation, court costs, $2,000 fine, $2,000 contribution to the Eighth Judicial District Drug Task Force  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 02/27/2019-6AM)
