Maryville defeated Anderson County 82 – 59 to advance to play Campbell County, a 71 to 66 winner over Farragut, on Monday at Oak Ridge.  It’s the semi-finals of the Region 2 girls basketball tournament.

Campbell County held it together in the closing seconds as its 12-point lead vanished.  Farragut chopped Campbell’s lead to two at 62 to 60, but the Lady Cougars managed to win it 71 to 66.

Skylar Boshears led the way with 23 points to go along with three other double-figure scorers.  Haley Comer had 16 with Madison Brady chipping in 15.  Blair Medley, injured in the first half but returned to finish the game, scored 11.  Emily Ellison tallied four and Lexy Richardson added two.

Maryville is 29 & 2 while Campbell is 28 & 4.  Each team has losses to Farragut on the Lady Admirals home floor.
