He’s funnier.  More handsome.  And now.  Even older than “Floyd the Barber” of Mayberry fame.  Ray Beeler, the featured performer at the Big Orange Barber Shop on North Tennessee Avenue, turns 80-years old this weekend.

He’s pictured here in a July 2016 photo with his younger brother, Ron (R).

Beeler’s kids, Tina, Robin and Corey, will be in town on Saturday to celebrate with ole dad.  The trio makes up the nationally renowned singing group “The Beelers.”  They will sing live on WLAF AM 1450 and FM 100.9 at 10:30 am in honor of Ray’s milestone day.
