Within 10 minutes, the LaFollette City Council completed its workshop agenda on Thursday afternoon.

At next week’s meeting, council will be discussing the promotion of Damien Guder to a full-time fireman effective Jan. 5, 2019, at a salary of $28,652.40.  Fire Chief Charles Eldridge explained that Guder is the oldest auxiliary fireman he currently has on staff.  New turn out gear could soon be a reality for the fire department as well.  The city received one bid that met specs.  A budget resolution for $13,139 is on the agenda for next week. The resolution will cover the unexpected repair of fire pumper truck #103.

Next week’s regular monthly council meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 5:30 pm. The winner of the Christmas Decoration contest will also be announced at that meeting.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 12/28/2018-6AM)
