The City of La Follette Regional Planning Commission met Thursday at City Hall.    Two items of business were discussed. First, Jason Rutherford and Roger Jackson requested a re-subdivision of the old Region’s Bank property on the four lane next to Grace Rehab. This property had been previously discussed and divided into approximately 1.5 acres that the bank sat on and 3.5 acres for the remaining land. The re-subdivision split the property at roughly 1.95 acres for the bank and 3.05 acres behind. This request passed.

Lastly, there was an in-home occupation request regarding 508 East 4Th Street. This request came from Henry Mutka. A new resident of La Follette, Mr. Mutka would like to continue his online business he had from Florida in the distribution of firearms.  This would not be a walk-in store as Mr. Mutka deals more in custom work. There would be neither advertisement nor inventory on the property.  This request was tabled for next month so that Mr. Mutka could finish all the required paperwork for the state of Tennessee.
