Jo Ann Mattie Wormsley, age 87, of Caryville passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, December 17, 2018. A lifelong member of Caryville First Baptist Church where for many years she taught Sunday School, VBS, RA’s GA’s while serving the church in many capacities. JoAnn was a member of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron at one time. For 68 years, JoAnn was a dedicated and loving wife to Don Wormsley and dedicated her life to loving and taking care of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and to the needs of many other children, friends and loved ones through her job and church ministry.
Preceded in death by parents, Author & Maude Mattie; father and mother-in-law, Tom & Ida Wormsley; brothers, Gene Pillion Mattie, Author Dick Mattie Jr.
