Unnecessary noise lands Noah Hatfield in jail.

On Sunday evening, LaFollette Police Officer Cory Lawson noticed a vehicle traveling on Jacksboro Pike with a loud muffler and expired tags, according to the report. Lawson stopped the vehicle and recognized the driver from a traffic stop the week prior. The driver, identified as Noah Lee Hatfield, had been cited in the prior stop for a suspended license. Lawson also allegedly noticed a “distinct smell of marijuana” coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed three pipes with residue, two small bags of green leafy substance, a hand rolled cigarette with green substance, believed to be marijuana, and loose pieces of green substance, the report said. Hatfield didn’t have registration papers or insurance for the vehicle.

Hatfield, 19, homeless, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule VI/marijuana, driving on revoked license, registration required, expired registration, financial responsibility law and muffler law.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/30/2018-6AM)
