Saturday evening Campbell County Sheriff’s Deputies responded twice to a home on Cross Valley Road.

The first call alleged that Timothy Carroll had been at the home where he robbed and assaulted a woman. When deputies responded, Carroll ran before police could arrest him. The second call alleged Carroll was back at the home, standing across the road from the home staring at the victim. Deputies went to Carroll’s home at 747 Cross Valley Road and noticed a large amount of blood on the side of the home and back door. Deputy Tosha Tackett found a short haired black dog under a building at the home. The dog was bleeding severely from the nose and left eye that appeared to be swelled shut, according to a report from the sheriff’s department. When deputies attempted to make contact with Carroll, Deputy Travis Bostic found him hiding in the woods behind his home. After failing to cooperate with officers, Carroll was forced to the ground. A struggle ensued and eventually Carroll was placed under arrest.

Carroll offered a reason for his behavior allegedly telling the police he “got a bad batch of dope.” He was extremely belligerent and continued to scream he was high on “bad dope,” the report said.

Carroll, 46, 747 Cross Valley Road, LaFollette is charged with public intoxication, resist stop frisk halt search, robbery, two counts aggravated assault, theft of property under $999 and cruelty to animals. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/30/2018-6AM)
