The Twin Cove Waterway, consisting of two miles, was cleaned to Oak Grove. In all 121 bags of litter was picked up on Saturday, October 6,  in addition to a 20 yard container of Styrofoam and junk material from the water and shoreline. Thirty- two tires were removed as well. The amount of litter collected in the cleanup totaled 3.79 tons or 7,580 pounds.

There were 56 volunteers.  Among the 56 were the JROTC unit from Campbell County High School, four boat captains.  They used three pontoon boats and one work boat that were donated by Twin Cove Marina, Brad Bardo, Pam Keith, and Charlie Ruth.

The effort was made possible by Campbell County Mayor EL Morton , JROTC cadets, The Trashman – Bernard Crow and several others who love Norris Lake.
