It’s gone on for years.  Everywhere.  Election signs are put up and are then torn down.  This election season is no different.

Ann Thompson’s sign in front of her father’s office was even knocked off its stand.

The most vocal candidate about signs being torn down this election season is Ann Thompson.  And rightfully so.  The City of La Follette Council person has posted, at least, two responses on Facebook about her signs being torn down.  The latest round of her signs getting roughed up, removed or disappearing was Sunday night.  She’s had some really large signs to disappear.

We caught up with Cliff Jennings, another city council candidate, as he was putting up a sign across from a voting place, West La Follette School, on Monday afternoon.  When asked if he’d had any signs torn down, he replied, “You bet.”

One thing’s for certain.  The tearing down of signs will never stop, but they’ll all come down after today.  Except for those few we’ll see nailed to a tree or on a building for years to come.  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 11/06/2018-6AM)
