Earl G. “Big Earl” Wilson, age 78 of Jacksboro went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.  He was born June 23, 1940 to the late Henderson and Stella (Meredith) Wilson, and the grandson of Maggie Hubbard, whom he loved dearly.  Earl worked for TVA for 19 years and at Caryville/Jacksboro Utilities until January 2018.  He was Deacon and adult Sunday School teacher at Hillcrest Baptist Church. 

Earl loved to fish, bird watch, travel, watch sports, and study his bible.  He also loved his family very much.

He is preceded in death by parents, and his son Scott Wilson, whom he loved very much.   

He is survived by wife Gloria Sue Wilson; daughter Angie Worley and fiancé Michael Cooper; grandchildren Savannah Jessie & fiancé Scott Webber, Sierra Hickman & husband Bart, and Jayden Worley; great granddaughter and the love of his life,

Isabella Jessie; brother Jerry Wilson & wife Shirley; sister Joann Goins; several nieces, nephews, and his beloved pet & companion, Chino; a host of other friends and relatives.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Lynn Ray, Rev. Chris Thomas, and Rev. Steve Elkins officiating.  Friends and family will meet 10:15 AM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for the 11:00 AM interment.
