After 26 years of serving on the LaFollette Library Board, Joy Robinson is saying goodbye.    Joy has more than 26 years of experience though, she has been working in libraries since she was 14 years old. She has also subbed in many of Campbell county’s school libraries as well.

When asked about a favorite book she laughed and replied, “Whatever I am reading at the time.”

We asked if she had a favorite memory at the library. After a small pause, she said the Halloween and Christmas parties were her favorites. Each year the library hosts parties for the public and library staff to enjoy.

Her plans for retirement are simple and sweet: spend quality time with her husband, Jim, and beloved beagle.

Joy, WLAF wishes you the happiest of retirements and thanks you for your service!  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/19/2018-6AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF WLAF’S LINDSEY HUTSON)
