Kristoff Druva, girlfriend Reagan Simon, and mother Viara Druva packed up three cars, loaded in their five Huskies and set out for the hills of Tennessee to a long time friend’s home for safety.  They were driven out of their homes in Wilmington, North Carolina, by the imposing threat of Hurricane Florence.   At the time of their departure, Florence was rated as a Category 4 hurricane.  They rolled into town Wednesday.

Kristoff and Reagan ended up in Wilmington after they traveled around in an old school bus converted into a tiny house of sorts.  After traveling through their money, they settled into Wilmington about five-minutes from the beach.

They have heard from friends who have informed them that their houses survived the hurricane with  just a few downed trees. The family of eight plans to stay in town until at least today due to road closures back home.

We here at WLAF wish them safe travels!  (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED – 09/17/2018-6AM-PHOTOS COURTESY OF WLAF’S CHARLIE HUTSON)
