In four of the seven seasons Justin Price has been at the helm of the Campbell County Cougars, CCHS has not had back-to-back regular season losses.  The Cougars venture to a venue tonight where they have never won; Blankenship Field.  However, given the perennial power house status of the Oak Ridge Wildcats, it’s rare any team other than the ‘Cats have won on the field named in honor of former school superintendent Alden Blankenship.

Since Campbell defeated Oak Ridge for the first time in school history in 2013, the average margin of defeat stands at 12-points over those five seasons.  That’s compared to an average margin of defeat of 41 points per meeting with the Wildcats dating back to the first match-up between these two schools on August 29, 1975, to Price’s second season on 2012.

Oak Ridge comes in with wins at Hardin Valley over the Hawks (23-7) and a win last Friday night at home.  OR outscored Dobyns-Bennett 41-12 at Armstrong Stadium.

Campbell won on the road at Cherokee 49-28 to open the season and lost at home on August 24  to Crockett 28 to 7.
